It’s absolutely normal for gums to bleed for a day or two following a hygiene cleaning. It’s also normal for gums to be a little tender. But, if bleeding and tenderness last longer, you’ll really need to come back in for another examination. The possibility of gum disease exists.
Gum disease forms when plaque builds up along the gum line. Other symptoms include bad breath, pain when chewing, and loose teeth.
